About
Before Maya Shapiro could talk – she could draw. By age 5 her best friends were her crayons and pencils. By 9 her artwork was published. After completing her degree in Fine Art in Alma-Ata, Kazakhstan, she burst onto the art scene, winning kudos for her unique and vibrant visionary work.
At 2002, Maya continued her education at the University of Judea and Samaria, Israel graduating with Honors in Practical Engineering in Design and Visual Communications.
Maya’s creations are born of her philosophical and spiritual grounding, and can be found in galleries from Israel to Canada.
Now, with over 18 years of experience Maya is excited to share her knowledge with a young generation.

My son has been enjoying Maya's lessons for over a year now. With him usually being quite physical learner, I'm impressed by Maya's ability to spark his enthusiasm in art. Due to one-on-one instruction he had a chance to explore multiple art forms based on his interests. Maya also incorporates some theory and history of art in lessons without him noticing it.
